Xbox and PlayStation subscription games for April 2017

Check out what’s on offer for Xbox Live Gold and PlayStation Plus members in April

April’s PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live Games with Gold were each revealed recently and you can see what you’ll have the opportunity to play during the month right here in one convenient place.

Our PlayStation Plus Free Games and Xbox Live Games with Gold sections here at SCG are located under our “More from SCG” menu. The drop down features a page for each of the two subscription services.

In addition to the games for the upcoming month, we’ve listed on those pages all of the previous games that have been offered so you can take a look at what you’ve missed or get a reminder of what you downloaded at this time last year.

For April, we’ve provided links below to those pages as well as the lists of games you’ll be getting during the month if you subscribe to Xbox Live Gold and/or PlayStation Plus.

If you’ve yet to grab March’s games, you’ve got until April 1 for Xbox Live, and the PlayStation Plus subscription games will remain available through April 3. Note that some games carry over to the following month for Microsoft.

Don’t forget, both Sony and Microsoft offer weekly sales, many of which have deeper discounts for subscribers or that are locked out to non-subscribers, so be sure to hit up the PlayStation Blog and Major Nelson’s Xbox Blog or just keep an eye on each service’s respective game store for more information on those.

Keep in mind, too, that Xbox 360 Games with Gold are now playable on Xbox One via the backward compatibility functionality.

Xbox Live Gold and PlayStation Plus run $59.99 a year. Both services can be purchased at discounts if you watch for sales throughout the year.

For more on what each service offers, in addition to the monthly free games, please visit each service’s respective official web page.

But don’t forget to keep it locked to SCG for monthly updates on the “free game” offerings and all of the other most essential gaming news from around the world.
